Summer Coming to a Quiet End

So there hasn't been much activity as of late. Well, nothing that even closely compares to hot air balloons and such. Despite the lack of excitement, why don't I post a few pics from the end of September.

Late afternoon hike at Rancho San Antonio, looking out at the Bay. The day started out really hot so our departure later in the day worked out nicely as the trail didn't feel as hot as it probably did a few hours earlier.

I've become a new (and infrequent) member of the "Zoo crew" for early 6am rides out at Woodside. A couple weeks ago, we had our entire morning ride (~15 miles) shrouded in fog. Thankfully fine conditions blessed us for this week's ride and the smaller group of Nick, Me, Priyanshu and JBS enjoyed it immensely.

I'm not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination, but this beautiful view of the Upper Crystal Springs Reservoir does provide a nice payoff for being up so early. Well, I didn't get too much time to enjoy the vista because we turned right back around and kept the pace brisk on the return.

Sorry for not having anything too wild here. We had another week of warm temperatures here in the Bay Area. Let's see how much longer summer will stick around. With the days getting shorter, I've gotta do my best to enjoy the limited daylight while we still have it.
